E-Discovery: Early Case Assessment, Forensic Collection & Analysis of Hand-held Devices

In December of 2007, the Federal courts began operating under Rules of Civil Procedure designed to address the complexities of Electronically Stored Information (ESI). Studies and surveys conducted over the last 18 months suggest that over 65% of organizations are unprepared for e-discovery. This presentation will help prepare lawyers for the inevitable challenges that are going to be facing you and your clients.

We will also address how Early Case Assessment Tools can help you cost effectively manage the complexity in cases involving ESI. We will explain the concepts and processes involved in this type of Electronic Discovery processing, and show you how Early Case Assessment Tools can give you the competitive advantage.

We will then delve into Forensic Data Extraction, with an emphasis on data extracted from handheld devices. We will address the complexity and pitfalls involved in collecting data from PDA’s and handheld devices, and what types of data may be obtained. We will end with a demonstration of how Forensic Collection works.

Presented by the Cincinnati Bar Association,
9:00 am - 12:00 pm,
3.0 CLE General Credits
Featuring Jonathan Adams and Rob Adams, SALIX
